FPIC and Indigenous Peoples in REDD Plus

FPIC and Indigenous Peoples in REDD Plus

The purpose of the documentary is to give a background and assessment of the Free and Prior Informed Consent (FPIC) in the REDD Plus areas within ancestral domains of indigenous peoples (Quezon Province and Palawan) that will guide policy on the way forward. FPIC as enshrined in the Indigenous People’s Rights Act (IPRA) ensures the IP’s right to participate or not to participate in REDD Plus program.

Produced by LotusBlaze with funding from Non-Timber Forest Products-Exchange Program (NTFP-EP) and Asia Indigenous People’s Pact (AIPP).
